Job Description

As a Security Officer Screener - Unarmed in Lexington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, responding to security-related concerns, and maintaining a professional presence. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vehicles entering the distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, access credentials, delivery documentation, and/or visitor authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, report suspicious activity or policy violations, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
