Key Responsibilities
Tower Oversight covering:
Understand the nuances of the Core Engineering portfolio, take absolute ownership of the investment financials and play the role of a gatekeeper.
Hold the PMs / PMO / FBPs accountable for any inconsistencies in the spend pattern and point out irregularities in the FY outlook when compared to the budget.
Track financial benefits and disbenefits / cost to maintain through a regular cadence with PMs/ FBPs. Ensure all hard financial savings and cost to maintain are duly realised and on track.
Play a pivotal role in Technology Board Pack Preparation by taking sole ownership of the financial sections once a clear view on the monthly variances and the FY forecast has been obtained.
Additional Responsibilities:
Drive the Engineering MBR preparation from a Finance Standpoint by striving to obtain an overall cash view (capex + change opex) of the financials at a Group level from an Engineering lens.
Provide support for Investment Planning Activities for Engineering Finance and the Engineering Portfolio
Flag impediments to data quality if any and explore ways of resolving the same by liaising with the relevant parties.
Have a close working relationship with the Technology Portfolio Team and strive to solidify relations with the PM/ FBP community.
Support the GIC (Group Investment Committee) on queries surrounding Engineering Portfolio financials
Decision Support & Storytelling
Provide clear, concise insights that help leaders understand trade‑offs, risks, and implications of workforce decisions.
Move the organization from reporting “what changed” to anticipating what will happen next.
Present workforce insights in a way that enables confident, early decision‑making.
Leadership & Capability Building
Develop a 2-member high‑performing Investment planning and analytics team
Establish ways of working that balance innovation, discipline, and control.
Act as a thought leader on modern Investment Planning, partnering with Finance and Business teams
AI & Advanced Analytics
Leverage AI, machine learning, and LLM‑based models to enhance forecasting accuracy, scenario modelling, and decision support
Scenario and sensitivity analysis (e.g. productivity, automation, AI impact)
Ensure AI solutions are interpretable, explainable, and trusted by senior stakeholders
