Maintenance Manager

Who: A driven and results-oriented Maintenance Manager with manufacturing leadership experience and a strong track record of developing teams and improving equipment reliability.

What: Lead maintenance operations, personnel, projects, preventive maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing.

When: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM on 1st shift, with overtime as required.

Where: Jefferson, Georgia, in a fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and develop maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who excels at maximizing equipment reliability, improving facility performance, developing technical teams, and driving continuous improvement.

Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations, the Maintenance Manager will establish and execute maintenance strategies that support safe, efficient, and reliable production while managing departmental performance, projects, budgets, preventive maintenance programs, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Leadership & Team Development

• Lead maintenance operations in support of production, safety, quality, reliability, and cost objectives.

• Develop maintenance strategies aligned with broader manufacturing and business objectives.

• Coach, mentor, train, and develop maintenance personnel through effective leadership and performance management.

• Establish clear expectations and accountability throughout the maintenance organization.

• Partner with manufacturing teams to achieve productivity, equipment availability, safety, and quality objectives.

Equipment Reliability & Continuous Improvement

• Manage maintenance performance indicators focused on reducing equipment downtime, overtime, and overall maintenance costs.

• Monitor facility and equipment performance and identify opportunities for reliability, quality, and cost improvements.

• Report departmental performance metrics and use results to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Lead preventive maintenance strategies designed to increase equipment availability and reduce unplanned failures.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and standardize maintenance best practices.

Project & Change Management

• Lead maintenance projects associated with new manufacturing programs, equipment installations, and modifications to existing operations.

• Manage project schedules, budgets, design requirements, resources, quotations, and vendor procurement.

• Coordinate maintenance activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

• Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs for new equipment.

• Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained on new and revised equipment, processes, and procedures.

• Maintain transparency and accountability around project progress, costs, risks, and deliverables.

Safety, Compliance & Technical Excellence

• Promote a strong safety culture throughout maintenance operations.

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable government regulations, internal requirements, and established procedures.

• Ensure equipment maintenance and repair activities follow manufacturer instructions and appropriate technical standards.

• Support quality and operational objectives through effective maintenance practices and equipment reliability.

• Maintain current technical and professional knowledge through continuous learning and industry engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Equivalent job-related experience, military service, professional certifications, and demonstrated skills may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Previous manufacturing and maintenance leadership experience.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical maintenance teams.

• Experience managing complex maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement principles.
