Job Description:
The Business Systems Analyst will support the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions that help achieve business objectives. This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and Business Process Automation (BPA) teams, ensuring application requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented and collaborative analyst who can understand business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements for business applications.
Lead requirements gathering workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions.
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved user experience.
Develop use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models.
Identify and help resolve issues or gaps in requirements and processes.
Work closely with Developers and QA Engineers to translate user requirements into functional specifications, technical documentation, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
Participate in application validation and user acceptance testing to confirm that solutions function as designed and meet documented business requirements.
Use SQL to query and analyze databases for reporting, troubleshooting, data validation, and quality assurance activities.
Provide user support and assist in investigating and resolving issues with various business applications.
Own assigned requirements and documentation from discovery through implementation.
Track and communicate requirements issues, risks, dependencies, decisions, and action items throughout the project lifecycle.
Work with both technical and non-technical user communities.
Support junior analysts by sharing expertise and guidance as needed, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Flex work hours as needed to collaborate with offshore Developers and QA Engineers.
Adhere to Microchip policies and procedures on project management and change control.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience in business analysis, systems analysis, process improvement, application support, data analysis, or a related business or technology role is preferred. Relevant experience may include professional work, internships, academic projects, consulting, or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of the software development life cycle, Agile methodologies, requirements management, process modeling, testing practices, and data analysis.
Experience using SQL to query and analyze data for reporting, troubleshooting, validation, or quality assurance.
Experience with scenario development, test case construction, or flowcharting is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and willingness to learn.
Experience in a specific domain (e.g., manufacturing, finance, supply chain, procurement) is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or comparable reporting and data visualization platforms is a plus.
Project management experience is a plus.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $143,000.**Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
