## Your Responsibilities

As a OFP Assembly Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Drivetrain Operations located in Waterloo, IA, you will:

• Provide manufacturing engineering support for transmission assembly operations
• Lead safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support product and design changes
• Implement manufacturing process improvements
• Help deploy new technologies aligned with the Smart Connected Factory strategy

## What Skills You Need

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a manufacturing role supporting production operations (academic, internship, or professional experience accepted)
• Experience developing and deploying operator work instructions
• Experience with process development, tooling design, fixturing, and workstation layout
• Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs), build documentation, and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes

## What Makes You Standout

• Experience with John Deere manufacturing systems, including JDAAT (John Deere Assembly Assist Tool) and Manufacturing Process Planner (MPP)
• Experience implementing process changes in a production environment through collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution
• Experience with work instruction software, SAP, Windchill, and related manufacturing applications
• Knowledge of standard data development, time studies, line balancing, and labor cost analysis
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Minitab
• Experience with robotics, automation, or robotic programming
• Experience supporting assembly operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment

## Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Ag, Industrial or Systems) or Technology (Manufacturing, Industrial, Systems)
