  • Leading asset‑level gross margin projections, dispatch modeling, and financial proformas to support budgeting, long‑term planning, and project valuations.

  • Supporting business development and expansion initiatives by delivering price forecasts, dispatch analysis, and due diligence assessments for new investments.

  • Providing strategic market insights to Commercial and Supply & Trading teams to support origination, hedging, and contracting strategies.

  • Managing external consultants, including scope definition, assumption review, quality control, and interpretation of results.

  • Preparing and delivering presentations and briefings to cross-functional teams, senior management and executive teams on market outlooks, risks, and opportunities.

  • Monitoring regulatory, policy, and market design developments, assessing their commercial, financial impacts and incorporating their implications into price projections.

  • Designing and implementing market dashboards for consumption across the company.

What You Will Bring to the Role:

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Commerce.

  • Master’s degree or professional designation (or progress toward one) is an asset.

  • 5+ years of experience in North American power and gas markets.

  • Demonstrated experience forecasting wholesale electricity prices and asset revenues.

  • Proven ability to translate complex market dynamics into actionable business recommendations.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Advanced quantitative and financial modeling skills (CONE, LCOE, dispatch, gross margin).

  • Strong understanding of power market structures and regulatory frameworks.

  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and exercise sound judgment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentations.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Python and data analysis tools; exposure to market models is an asset.
