Senior Quality Engineer (Playwright)
(Hybrid/Kraków – 1 day per week in the office)

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our Findability team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle, helping to deliver reliable, scalable and high-performing search and discovery experiences for our customers.
Working closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers and other stakeholders, you will drive test automation, define effective quality strategies and promote best practices across the squad. You'll contribute to continuous improvement, helping the team deliver high-quality software while fostering a culture of shared ownership and engineering excellence.

Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation and maintenance of automated testing solutions to support the delivery of high-quality software.
- Develop and enhance automated test suites to validate functionality, reliability and performance across the application.
- Partner with Software Engineers and Product teams to ensure quality is considered from the earliest stages of solution design.
- Drive the adoption of automation and testing best practices, helping the team build quality into every stage of development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test frameworks, tools and development processes to increase efficiency and maintainability.
- Ensure automated tests are fully integrated into CI/CD pipelines, providing fast and actionable feedback to development teams.
- Analyse defects, identify quality risks and work collaboratively to implement preventative improvements.
- Support the growth of engineering capability by sharing expertise, reviewing test approaches and encouraging a culture of continuous learning and quality ownership.
What you'll bring
- Strong experience developing and maintaining automated tests using JavaScript and/or TypeScript, with hands-on expertise in Playwright.
- Solid background in API testing, including validating RESTful services through automated testing and ensuring reliable service integration.
- Good understanding of API testing tools and techniques for functional validation, debugging and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles, quality assurance practices and effective test design techniques.
- Experience embedding automated testing into modern CI/CD workflows to support continuous integration and delivery.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Software Engineers to improve application testability and promote a quality-first approach to development.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes, assess risks and drive quality improvements.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams, contributing to engineering best practices, continuous improvement and high-quality software delivery.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
