Description
Human Resources Manager
As our Human Resources Manager, you will:
- Assist President & CEO with developing HR, training, and compliance policies while researching industry best practices.
- Oversee talent management, compensation, benefits administration, payroll processing, HRIS platforms, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal/state laws, credit union policies, and mandates like ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA.
- Assist with administering medical, dental, life, disability, and 401(k) plans, including required legal notifications.
- Provide guidance to supervisors regarding workplace conflicts, disciplinary actions, and performance management processes.
- Oversee and streamline the annual employee performance evaluation timeline and tracking.
- Interact directly with external independent auditors and regulatory examiners under the guidance of the President & CEO.
- Visit all ACU branches regularly to remain visible, accessible, and proactively improve the employee experience.
- Maintain the Compease system to ensure accurate data for merit increases and strategic salary budgeting.
- Oversee completion of EEO-1 reports, worker's compensation audits, and 401(k) plan discrimination testing.
- Actively participate in HR and training industry networks to bring innovative ideas to the credit union.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of progressively more responsible experience, within a financial institution, preferably in human resources.
- Associate's degree in business, HR/OD, Industrial Relations, or equivalent professional experience; or currently in progress / seeking a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, recruitment, and training programs.
- Proven team management skills with a strategic, analytical, and organized approach.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional persuasive writing and verbal skills across all organizational levels.
- High ethical standards, ability to handle confidential data, exhibit initiative, work well independently, and exercise sound judgement.
Preferred
- Direct experience using the Paylocity HCM platform.
- Working toward PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
