Senior Commercial Operations Analyst

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Gas Commercial Operations Analyst to join us in our Market Services team in Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time Basis. To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must currently be employed as a Commercial Operations Analyst.

Reporting to the Team Leader Gas Commercial Operations, you will play a key role in providing advanced operational expertise and guidance to enhance team capability and support the effective delivery of Gas Commercial Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex Gas Commercial Operations activities, applying expert judgement across contracts, market rules and operational requirements while supporting consistent operational decision-making across the team.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes, systems, team capability and overall team performance.
• Support the integration of new assets, system changes and operational initiatives, ensuring readiness and minimal business impact.
• Coach and mentor Gas Commercial Operations Analysts while providing guidance on complex customer and operational matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues, drive operational excellence and maintain compliance, accuracy and audit standards.
• Support the identification of knowledge gaps, lessons learned and opportunities to improve operational consistency across regions, shifts and customer interactions.

Your background

• Demonstrated experience in gas, energy or commercial operations within a complex operational environment.
• Strong understanding of contracts, market rules and operational processes, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems, make sound decisions and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
• Passion for continuous improvement, coaching others and maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and operational excellence.
