Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant required for a new role in the Newton Aycliffe area.  This is full-time and permanent.   Working for a family run business, within the construction sector, you will be responsible for supporting the sales function of one of businesses in the group.

The Role
Collating all new sales orders and setting them up on a system called Apex then reconciling this with the orders that have been collected or delivered, ensuring that they are in the quantity ordered and that valid, current purchase orders are in place before sending out the invoices.  Alongside this, you will deal with any invoice related queries and carry out associated admin tasks.  As this is a small team, they support each other depending upon workload and this could include helping colleagues with purchase ledger, some elements of processing expenses, fuel and payroll as required.

This is office based and hybrid working isn’t available, the working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and, due to the location of the business applicants will need to have their own transport.
 

The Person
Applicants must be financially literate with some recent, relevant experience in an accounts role.  A working knowledge of Sage 200 would be ideal but isn’t essential.   The role is ideal for someone looking to settle into a role for the long term and, whilst it won’t have a great deal by way of career development opportunities, it will offer a warm, friendly and informal working environment within a team who are very welcoming and supportive. 

Remuneration
£28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience
