About The Opportunity
The Sr. Manager, Finance – Operations is responsible for leading a team that delivers high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and strategic decision support for Menasha Packaging’s Services network. This role ensures the team produces accurate, timely, and actionable insights that enable operational leaders to make informed decisions, identify performance improvement opportunities, and drive profitable growth across the network.This leader serves as the primary finance partner to Senior Operations Directors, while managing and developing a team. The role is accountable for strengthening financial discipline, enhancing visibility into business performance, and supporting enterprise initiatives that improve cost, efficiency, and customer service.
Essential Job Functions

- Lead and develop the finance operations team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management to ensure delivery of high-quality analysis, reporting, and business support.
- Serve as a key finance business partner to operations leadership, influencing decisions related to business planning, forecasting, capital allocation, and performance optimization.
- Deliver actionable financial insights by analyzing actual results, trends, and variances to identify risks, opportunities, and value creation initiatives.
- Support annual budgeting and monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to corporate timelines and standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and systems to enhance data integrity, efficiency, and decision-making capability.
- Partner with cross-functional supply chain and operations leaders to identify and execute cost savings initiatives, streamline processes, and promote best practice sharing across the network.
- Translate complex financial data into clear recommendations that inform operational strategy and support profitable growth objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, internal controls, and Menasha Packaging policies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing timely financial updates, analysis, and ad hoc support as needed.
- Build a high-performing team culture, focused on accountability, collaboration, analytical rigor, and business impact.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive finance experience required, preferably within manufacturing, operations finance, or supply chain environments.
- 2+ years of people leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and operational finance principles.
- Ability to interpret complex financial and operational data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and drive alignment with senior business leaders.
- Proven track record of developing talent and leading teams through change.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to both executive audiences and team members.
- Deep knowledge of cost structures, manufacturing/operations metrics, and drivers of profitability.
- Familiarity with financial reporting processes, month-end close, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in financial systems, tools, and analytics platforms (e.g., ERP, BI tools, Excel modeling).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Primarily office-based role.
- Occasional travel required to support network locations and business partners.
