Job Duties:

The School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the faculty position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting. The school is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate instruction, incorporate current techniques in teaching and research, and work collaboratively to strengthen the school’s business programs.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Department: School of Business and Economics

 

Full-Time: 100%, Faculty, 9-month ongoing tenure-track appointment, one vacancy

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide quality teaching and advise students within the School of Business and Economics (SBE), perform service work to the SBE and university, and engage in scholarly activities.
• Teach courses primarily on campus (potential for online in the future) for the Accounting major, as well as other business courses as needed.
• Demonstrate commitment to building community among students and faculty within SBE and the university.

 

Other Duties:

• Complete required trainings and professional development as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

• PhD earned by August 25, 2027, from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body with a curricular emphasis in the field of Accounting or a closely related field.
• Instructor of record for at least one semester teaching Accounting or a closely related field in-person in higher education.
• At least one peer-reviewed journal article published as evidence of quality scholarship.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

• At least two semesters serving as instructor of record teaching Accounting in-person and/or online at the university level.
• Experience with using a variety of teaching methods in a higher-education classroom.

 

Compensation: Salary range for this position is: $102,000 - $110,000 annually.
