Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Services Desk in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at an educational location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting access control and badge procedures. You will remain a visible, professional presence, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a college front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as appropriate, and maintain visitor records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor entrances, lobby activity, and security-related systems from a stationary front-desk post; report unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Provide information, assist with general inquiries, and maintain clear, professional communication with the campus community and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
