Hiring Finance Business Partner - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) - ISL Onsite
About Client Company:
The distribution arm of GE Healthcare technology in Saudi Arabia, as well as its Solution partner.
About the Role:
As our FP&A Finance Business Partner, you will be the trusted financial advisor to multiple Business Unit owners, the CFO, and the CEO. You will own the end-to-end financial management of ongoing projects—from revenue recognition and cost allocation to forecasting and executive reporting. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your analytical rigor, operational curiosity, and communication skills will directly influence key strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive & Management Reporting
Prepare and present high-quality monthly management reports (PowerPoint-based) for multiple business units to the CEO, CFO, and Business Unit owners.
Extract and analyze financial data from SAP and other relevant systems. And develop summary analysis, financial trends, KPIs, graphs, and visualizations using Excel and PowerPoint. Translate financial data into meaningful business insights for senior management.
- Readiness to respond to queries from the CEO, CFO, Director of FP&A, and Project Owners with clear, analytical, and fact-based responses, by maintaining a strong understanding of the financial position of each project and its impact on the overall Business Unit.
2. Monthly Closing
Salary Allocation
Perform the monthly calculation of salary expenses to be charged to ongoing projects.
Analyse resource allocation and project involvement to ensure salary costs are appropriately allocated.
Coordinate the review and finalisation of project salary allocations with the FP&A Director and CFO as part of the month-end closing process.
Ensure project cost allocations are accurately reflected in Project Controlling and financial reporting. Coordinate with the broader Finance team on revenue recognition, ensuring timely sharing of Signed COCs (Certificate of Completion) and relevant costs for liquidation/charging.
Deferred Cost Review
Prepare the monthly Deferred Cost analysis for review by the CFO.
Present deferred costs by project and provide a clear business rationale for why costs have been deferred.
Maintain supporting analysis and documentation for deferred costs.
Assess whether costs should remain deferred or be recognised based on the status and circumstances of the project.
Revenue Recognition
Coordinate with the Finance team on monthly revenue recognition activities.
Obtain and share signed Completion Certificates / COCs with the Finance team.
Identify and communicate the relevant costs that need to be liquidated or charged in connection with recognised revenue.
Ensure project-level revenue and cost information is aligned with the month-end financial close.
3. Invoicing, Collections & Ad-Hoc Support
Collaborate with Project Owners to share invoices and proactively follow up with the Collections team to track payment status.
Handle daily ad-hoc requests from Project Owners, the Director of FP&A, or the CFO, providing summary status reports and visuals (PowerPoint) on short notice.
4. Project Controlling & Financial Oversight
Maintain and update individual Project Controlling files for all active projects (ranging from 6 months to 3+ years) with month-end closing expenses and revenues.
Update all project-related financial data, including resource timesheets, consultant expenses, T&L (Travel & Logistics), and 3rd Party Purchase Order (PO) data. And ensure project financial information is accurate, complete, and aligned with SAP and month-end financial results.
Review and approve 3rd Party POs and new Sales Orders in SAP, and subsequently integrate these into your Project Controlling files.
Maintain a strong understanding of the financial position of each project and its impact on the overall Business Unit.
5. Forecasting, Budgeting & Variance Analysis
Own the budget vs actual process for all projects, maintaining a complete grip on approved budgets vs. actual expenses (monitoring sensitive projects even more frequently).
Drive the forecasting process by going beyond simple trend analysis—actively communicate with Project Owners, analyze contractual obligations, and challenge Business Unit owners to validate financial assumptions.
Analyze approved budgets against actual expenses on a monthly basis, escalating variances as needed.
6. Digital Transformation & Visualization
Leverage Power BI to create dynamic visuals and analysis as part of management reporting (while not mandatory, the department is moving towards Power BI as an essential tool, and candidates with this skillset will be prioritized)
What You Bring to the Table (Required Key Skills and Competencies):
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in Project Controlling, or Finance Business Partnering, preferably in a multi-project, multi-business-unit environment.

Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of revenue recognition, deferred costs, cost allocation, project budgeting, and P&L management.
Operational Mindset: A natural curiosity for operations—you don't just look at the numbers; you dig into project statuses, contracts, and operational roadblocks to provide context to the finance.
