Who We Are:
Inspired by a shared love of fashion, sneakers and the surrounding culture, END. was founded in Newcastle upon Tyne back in 2005. Today, END. serves over 2 million customers worldwide through a seamless blend of online and physical retail. Our industry-leading stores in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Milan reflect our commitment to innovation, influence, and inspiration. We offer a carefully curated selection of menswear, womenswear, sneakers, homeware, and lifestyle products to a global audience.
At the heart of END. is our customer and it’s our people and culture that make the difference. With over 600 employees across our HQ, offices, and retail locations, our customer-first mindset continues to guide everything we do.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and development of the business.
This is a broad and high-impact role, combining commercial finance, business partnering, forecasting, analysis and performance reporting. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, translating financial and operational performance into clear insights, challenging performance where appropriate and helping the business make better-informed decisions.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
- Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the Executive team and senior stakeholders, using a deep working knowledge of commercial and operational dynamics to provide financial insight, challenge and support.
- Develop a strong understanding of the key drivers of business performance, identifying risks and opportunities emerging through trade and working with senior stakeholders to agree corrective or value-accelerating action.
- Support senior stakeholders in assessing investment opportunities, including costs, benefits, payback, ROI and risks, building scenarios to review different strategic options and sensitivities.
- Translate complex financial information into clear messages and recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
- Challenge assumptions constructively and embed financial considerations into commercial and operational decisions.
- Support the annual budgeting and long-term planning process, working with stakeholders to produce robust and commercially grounded plans, monitoring performance and identifying any emerging risks and opportunities.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts and performance reporting, working closely with Financial Reporting and assist with year-end, audit and other financial requirements as required.
- Provide financial input into wider business projects and transformation initiatives.
- Support the Director of Finance and wider Finance team with ad hoc analysis, reporting and other requirements as they arise, flexing to the priorities of the business and function.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Finance processes, systems, reporting and controls.
- Act as a positive ambassador for Finance, building its reputation as a commercial partner rather than simply a reporting function.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experience working with senior non-finance stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
- Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Solid commercial understanding, ideally within retail, e-commerce, consumer, hospitality or another fast-paced trading environment.
- Experience analysing both financial and operational KPIs.
- Experience building financial models and business cases.
- Advanced Excel / financial modelling skills and an appetite for improving reporting through technology and automation.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets and turning analysis into actionable insight.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with at least 1 year PQE.
- Experience in a Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance or FP&A role.
Besides a competitive salary and an engaging and inclusive work place we can offer you:
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
- Flexible working, with 2 days WFH
- 40 Hours per week - Monday to Friday
- Holiday trading (Buy or sell 3 days)
- Your birthday off
- Access to Employee Assistance Programme
- Healthcare Cashback Plan
- Moments that matter gifts (Weddings and Babies)
- A pension that both you and the company contribute to
- Generous staff discount
- Opportunities for professional development and career progression
- And so much more….
We know that great talent comes in many forms. So even if you don’t meet every single criteria, we would still love to hear from you. If you’re passionate, driven, and believe you can contribute to our future success, we encourage you to apply.
