It delivers barcode scanning, machine vision, and precision analysis solutions for medical, life science, and industrial applications.

Job Description
D&A is looking for role of Senior Mechanical Engineer who applies engineering principles to design, develop, test, and improve mechanical systems and components. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, interpreting technical specifications, and ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.
Specific Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply technical drawings and CAD models.
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using tools like Solidworks or an alternative CAD system - Creo.
- Analyze customer design proposals and specifications to assess feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
- Modify existing designs to improve performance, manufacturability, or cost-efficiency.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues and ensure smooth implementation.
- Support prototype development and testing, including documentation and reporting.
- Maintain quality control and reliability standards throughout the design lifecycle.
Your Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, alternatively Creo).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Fluent English speaking skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC 60601 for medical devices).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Your Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (ideally mechatronics) or related field.
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering for mid-level roles.
- Experience with full life cycle development.
- Experience in medical device design or regulated environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of FMEA, DFM/DFA, and risk management tools is advantageous.
- Availability to travel occasionally internationally.
- Eligible to work legally in Czech republic.
