We are seeking a strong operational leader to lead the Accounts Payable COE as a Sr Manager, responsible for ensuring stable, efficient, and well-controlled execution of global AP operations.
This role requires a balance of hands-on operational leadership, technical depth, and people management, with the ability to lead in dynamic and high-pressure environments. The position focuses on driving execution, managing escalations, and maintaining operational resilience, while continuously improving processes and supporting evolving business needs.
What You Will Do
Operational Leadership & Service Delivery
- Lead end-to-end AP operations across global processes, ensuring service delivery, control compliance, and performance stability.
- Maintain consistent operational performance across both steady-state and complex operating conditions.
- Safeguard financial integrity by enforcing policies, controls, and governance standards across AP activities.
Escalation & Issue Management
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex and high-impact operational issues
- Lead resolution of critical issues by balancing business impact, control requirements, and stakeholder expectations
- Ensure timely intervention and resolution to minimize disruption to operations and financial processes
Resource & Workload Management
- Dynamically allocate and reallocate resources based on workload, peak periods, and emerging risks
- Apply situational delegation to ensure effective task assignment aligned with urgency, complexity, and team capability
- Maintain operational continuity under changing business demands
People Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach, and develop AP managers and teams, strengthening capability, accountability, and resilience
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on execution discipline and continuous improvement
Continuous Improvement & Execution
- Drive initiatives to improve process efficiency, stability, and scalability across AP operations
- Lead the adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions, ensuring effective integration into operations
- Promote standardization and simplification to enhance overall service delivery
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Finance, Procurement, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain effective operations
- Ensure alignment on priorities and coordinated execution across the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle
What Success Looks Like
- AP operations are stable, reliable, and consistently meet performance and control expectations
- Critical issues and escalations are resolved effectively with minimal business disruption
- Teams operate with strong accountability, capability, and operational discipline
- Processes continuously improve in efficiency, scalability, and control
- Stakeholder alignment is maintained across Finance and partner functions
Qualifications
- 10–12+ years of experience in AP / P2P operations or shared services
- Proven leadership managing large teams and high-volume operations
- Demonstrated experience handling escalations and operating effectively in high-pressure environments
- Strong technical understanding of AP processes, financial controls, and operational impact
- Ability to make independent, sound decisions in fast-paced environments
Preferred
- Experience supporting ERP transformation or system modernization (e.g., SAP ECC / S/4HANA)
- Exposure to automation, RPA, or digital initiatives within Finance operations
- Experience working in global or multi-regional environments
- Familiarity with governance, controls, and change management in finance programs
