Job Description:
Assistant Resident Engineer
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Resident Engineer – MEP to join our team! In this role you will support construction supervision of major infrastructure in Abu Dhabi, ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality delivery .
What You'll Be Doing:
Supervise all MEP construction activities related to stormwater pumping stations and associated infrastructure.
Monitor installation of pumps, valves, piping, electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems, and SCADA components.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, approved drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and testing procedures.
Coordinate with contractors, utility authorities, client representatives, and other project stakeholders.
Monitor construction progress and support timely project delivery in accordance with approved schedules.
Witness testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing of pumping station systems.
Ensure implementation of quality assurance, quality control, and health and safety requirements throughout the project.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience in stormwater, wastewater, sewerage, water utility, or pumping station projects.
Strong knowledge of pumps, electrical systems, instrumentation, SCADA, and commissioning activities.
Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Previous experience on major stormwater infrastructure projects in the UAE.
Familiarity with Abu Dhabi authorities' standards and requirements.
Strong problem-solving and technical review capabilities.
Ability to effectively work within multidisciplinary engineering and construction supervision teams.
