PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

The Physician Assistant, as an interdependent member of a primary care team, will function within established plans outlined below. He/She will be required to exercise sound professional judgment while providing primary health care services to ambulatory patients within the specified population serviced by the clinics. The family-oriented practice embraces preventive, curative, chronic and health promotion to individuals from infancy to old age and includes early stages of illness to chronic disease and the promotion of wellness.

Patient assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic measures will be carried out in close association and collaboration with the Physician Assistants' supervising physician, clinic physicians, appropriate specialists and health care agencies in the community. Appropriate information may be given to the patient and the family concerning the diagnosis and plans for therapy as part of this close collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position. All required education, licensure, certifications, registrations, and other job specific credentials must be obtained and successfully verified prior to the employee's start date.

• Successful completion from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Idaho.
• Current NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants.
• Two (2) years of experience in primary care.

NURSE PRACTITIONER

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an independently licensed practitioner but also an interdependent member of the primary care team and will function within established plans outlined below. He/She will be required to exercise sound professional clinical judgment while providing primary health care services to ambulatory patients (newborn to end of life patients, geriatric patients, women's health patients) within the specified population served by Terry Reilly clinics. The Nurse Practitioner practice embraces preventive care, acute and/or chronic illness and care and promotion of wellness for individuals from infancy to old age depending on area of expertise and NP licensure.

Patient assessment, diagnosis and therapeutic measures will be carried out in close association and collaboration (when appropriate) with clinic Physicians, clinical care team members (such as RNs, Clinical Pharmacists, Behavioral Health Consultants, Counselors) appropriate specialists and health care agencies in the community. Appropriate information may be shared with the patient and the family, when authorized and applicable, concerning the possible and or likely diagnosis and potential treatment options (using shared decision-making) as part of this close collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position. All required education, licensure, certifications, registrations, and other job specific credentials must be obtained and successfully verified prior to the employee's start date.

• Successful completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner education program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Idaho.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, from a national accrediting organization such as the American Nurse Association (ANA), American Association Nurse Practitioners AANP . Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE),Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN); and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), National Certification Corporation (NCC) offer certifications, which are themselves accredited by bodies like the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC) and National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
• Two (2) years' experience in primary care, completion of a clinical nurse practitioner internship, or documented completion of clinical training as a Nurse Practitioner within Terry Reilly.
