As an Intern within the FXD – G7 & SGD team, you'll work alongside traders, quants, and developers to support FX options trading activities, enhance analytical tools, and contribute to automation initiatives that improve trading efficiency. You'll work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, and developers to maintain trading infrastructure, analyse market data, and automate business processes. Your ability to solve problems, work with large datasets, and develop scalable solutions will help drive operational excellence and support informed trading decisions.

What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• Trading Desk Support: provide operational support to the FX Options trading desk, including funding activities, risk monitoring, reporting, and preparation of market analysis materials
• Market Data & Analytics: maintain and enhance databases containing FX options market information and trade data to support trading and research activities
• Trading Strategy Support: collaborate with traders to automate signal generation, perform backtesting, and analyse the performance of trading strategies
• Pricing & Risk Infrastructure: work closely with front office developers, quants, and traders to enhance pricing tools and improve the infrastructure supporting FX options valuation and analytics
• Process Automation: develop, maintain, and upgrade VBA- and Python-based automation tools to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and user experience
• Data Analysis & Reporting: analyse trading, risk, and market data to support decision-making and business monitoring activities
• Stakeholder Collaboration: partner with trading, quantitative, and technology teams to identify process improvements and deliver practical solutions
• Ad-hoc Projects: support strategic initiatives, process enhancements, and other projects as assigned by the team

Who You Work With

The FXD – G7 & SGD team operates within Global Markets and manages foreign exchange options and related trading activities across major currencies. You'll work closely with experienced traders, quantitative analysts, and front office developers who collaborate to manage market risk, identify trading opportunities, and develop innovative pricing and analytics capabilities. Through this role, you'll gain valuable exposure to financial markets, quantitative analysis, and trading technologies within a leading financial institution.
