Join the City of Bothell’s Parks team! We are looking for a dependable and motivated individual to help maintain the City’s parks, trails, grounds, sports fields, and facilities. This position plays an important role in keeping our community spaces clean, safe, and welcoming while supporting special events and providing quality service to residents, visitors, and City staff.
This is a Limited Term, Full-time position that is authorized until December 31, 2027.
Typical Schedule for this position: 5/8's, Sunday thru Thursday, 6:30am to 3pm.
What will you do in this position?
- Perform routine maintenance of City infrastructure, including trails, parks, grounds, sports fields, and facilities, as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may vary based on the specific job assignment.
- Maintain landscaped areas by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing trash, brush, weeds, and debris; applies paint, herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals in accordance with applicable guidelines and safety requirements; prepares and maintains sports fields.
- Support positive relationships between the City of Bothell and the community by providing courteous and cooperative service to residents, visitors, customers, and City staff; promotes City goals and priorities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of work-related matters, client records, and City information; performs other related duties as assigned or required.
- Support the delivery of Citywide parks and recreation services by assisting with special events and performing routine park maintenance, including restroom cleaning, litter and trash removal, and general upkeep of parks and recreational facilities throughout the City.
A successful candidate in this position will:
- Ensure clear and efficient communication of information and ideas through diverse communication channels.
- Take initiative for reaching objectives and achieving quality results.
- Collaborate both within the organization and externally to foster effective partnerships.
- Effectively evaluate and prioritize various tasks, projects, and demands.
