Sales Manager, Surgical

The Sales Manager will manage a team of territory/account managers across Malaysia and Indonesia to achieve financial goals for the Edwards Lifesciences SURGICAL Business Unit. Responsibilities encompass management and coaching of the team, supporting team in direct sales activities and driving business with own customers. 

 
How you will make an impact: 
• Manages, coaches and motivates a team of territory/account managers to ensure achievement of sales targets within assigned territories utilizing in-depth understanding cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to EW medical products as it relates to the surgical business 

• Managing channel business partner in the assigned territory. 
• Promotes and sells product portfolio and solutions directly to current and new customers while building and utilizing the relationships with customers in assigned area/s 
• Supports sales activities of territory/account managers in complex selling situations while executing short-term plans for the assigned area/s 
• Other incidental duties 
 
What you will need (Required): 
•Bachelor's Degree in a related field with progressive sales experience  
•Profound medical devices industry experience  

• Proven track record in sales management, people leadership across Malaysian medical device market 

•Distributor management experience (ideally outside of Malaysia) 

•Consignment experience 

•Ideally experience in structural heart, cardiac, CVS or implants – highly regarded

• Expertise of the assigned product portfolio, how it addresses customer needs and how it compares to competitor offerings 
• Understand BU direction, target and the competitive landscape of assigned area/s 
• Applies sales experience to sales target achievement 
• In-depth understanding of hemodynamic monitoring as well as cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to EW medical products as it relates to the business 
• Strict attention to detail 
• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization 
• Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment 
• Builds and utilizes the relationships with customers in assigned area/s 
• Seen as resource to customers organization based on ability to develop innovative, mutually beneficial partnerships and solutions 
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
