Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Data Center Construction to join our Data Center Construction and Infrastructure team.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center construction projects, driving overall execution across design coordination, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover within approved budgets and timelines.
You will join a high-performing team of mission-critical construction professionals, multidisciplinary engineers, and specialized project managers dedicated to building scalable, high-availability infrastructure.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
Lead Project Lifecycle & Delivery: Direct the complete lifecycle of data center construction projects from pre-construction through Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and final operational handover, establishing key milestones, governance, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure delivery against scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety standards.
Collaborate Across Multidisciplinary Teams: Partner with client engineering teams, architectural consultants, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) specialists, and general contractors to coordinate design deliverables, resolve technical clashes across complex systems (including power distribution, cooling, and Building Management Systems), and align vendor deliveries.
Ensure Compliance & Standards: Oversee strict adherence to organizational quality standards, local statutory regulations, and zero-incident Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements across all site activities, testing procedures, and contractual agreements.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
15+ years of overall construction project management experience, including a minimum of 5–8 years dedicated to data center or mission-critical facility delivery.
Strong knowledge of high-availability electrical distribution systems, redundant cooling architectures, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) protocols.
Proven ability in cost and commercial management, master schedule development, multidisciplinary stakeholder management, and contractor oversight.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (Project Management Professional [PMP] or equivalent certification is desirable).
