Employees enjoy multiple wealth-building opportunities through our annual stock grant, employee stock purchase plan, 401(k), and access to free, year-round money coaches. That’s how we’re UNSTOPPABLE for our employees!

The Core Pricing team at T-Mobile USA develops the business logic and economic analysis behind pricing decisions for postpaid products and services: rate plan architecture, promotional and device economics, and the value propositions that define how T-Mobile competes. These decisions set prices across a multi-billion-dollar revenue base and shape customer lifetime value, competitive positioning, revenue growth, and long-term business performance.
We are looking for analytical and strategic problem solvers with strong quantitative backgrounds. You will own workstreams end to end on problems that arrive ambiguous and high-stakes, partnering with Marketing, Finance, Product, and Sales, and your recommendations will be debated and decided by senior leaders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the economic case for major postpaid pricing decisions, including new rate plan architecture, offer economics, and new value propositions, from framing the question through the recommendations to leadership
  • Estimate demand response: price elasticity, take rates, mix shift, and cannibalization across plans , products and segments. Quantify the trade-off between volume, ARPA, churn
  • Build financial models that hold up under scrutiny: scenario and sensitivity analysis, explicit and defensible assumptions, anticipated competitive response
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to craft options and recommendations, then present them to senior leadership
  • Develop a deep understanding of industry, competitive, corporate, and customer drivers to inform optimization of pricing strategy and the corporate profit model

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business (Finance, Accounting), Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields (e.g., Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences) or equivalent experience (Required)
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Operations Research, or Engineering, plus 5 years of related experience ( Preferred)
  • Alternatively, a Ph.D. in a relevant quantitative field plus 2 years of related work experience ( Preferred)

Work Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insight; experience with performance analysis, business case analytics, and financial modeling
  • Comfort with ambiguity: ability to frame business questions, determine required analysis, balance speed and depth
  • Strong communication and executive presence, including the ability to compress a highly quantitative analysis into a clear recommendation and engage senior leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple concurrent workstreams while maintaining attention to detail and a strategic perspective
  • Advanced SQL and Excel required, with experience in R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI preferred. Experience querying large customer-level datasets in warehouse environment like Snowflake
  • Preferred: prior experience in telecom, subscription, or another recurring-revenue business, or a background in pricing, finance, or corporate strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Problem Solving “Consulting-style” problem solving that can break ambiguous problems into pieces using a hypothesis-driven approach. (Required)
  • Analytics Perform broad array of analytic capabilities: descriptive analytics on big data sets, predictive analytics, complex modeling, etc (Required)
  • Financial Analysis Comfort with reading and understanding implications of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements (Required)
  • Executive Level Presentations Contextually modulate language and message to tailor to audience (presenting up to VP level) (Required)
  • Communication Build logical narrative structures independently and create compelling visualizations (Required)

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
