P4SUMMARY:
This position in the Costing Center of Excellence within Corporate Accounting will be responsible for the support, training, and development of the BOM Portal / BOM Forge system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides leadership for the governance, support, training, and continuous improvement of Tyson's BOM Portal/BOM Forge applications. Accountable for ensuring approved product specifications, engineering standards, and manufacturing requirements are accurately translated into SAP Bills of Material (BOMs) and Recipes that support accurate product costing, inventory valuation, material planning, and production execution. Leads the Finance and Manufacturing alignment efforts associated with the implementation of our new specification management platform, ensuring it and related integrations are designed, tested, and deployed in a manner that maintains compatibility with BOM Portal/BOM Forge and supports current and future business requirements. Partners with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity, drive process improvements, and ensure reliable operation of a critical business system supporting both Finance and Manufacturing, along with other duties as assigned. All the above activities are performed with an ownership mindset in a dynamic team environment demonstrating close collaboration within the Finance team and with cross-functional partners.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in an academic field directly related and essential to this job (Accounting or Finance degree preferred.)
Experience: 5 plus years
Computer Skills: Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; advanced skills in Tyson applications such as SAP and BOM Portal preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with all levels of management.
Special Skills: Strong organizational skills, good interpersonal skills, and must be able to work in a team environment. Certified Public Accountant preferred but not required.
Supervisory: N/A
Travel: Up to 12 domestic trips per year.
