Enrolled Nurse - Cardiothoracic, Vascular and Ophthalmology Surgery 
St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital, Spring Hill

Employment Term: Permanent Part Time opportunity available 
Location: located opposite Roma St Parklands, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital is just a short walk to Brisbane city
Remuneration: $36.57 - $40.93 p/hr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties

Your part in St Andrew’s War Memorial

As part of our team, you will accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills.

- Documenting and updating care plans in line with emerging assessments
- Medication and wound management
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living and recreational activities
- Helping residents to participate in the community by providing social support
- Aiding other care staff and health professionals
- Work collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary team members.

What makes a difference for us?

  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience in an acute surgical ward, preferably Cardiac, Cardiothoracic or Vascular
  • Diploma of nursing or equivalent and AHPRA registration
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality improvements
  • Desire for ongoing professional development
  • Availability to work across a fortnightly rotating roster
  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo a functional assessment
