Description

In this role, you will be working as an Mechanical Design Engineer producing detailed models and fabrication drawings for robotic systems, gantry structures, and bulk material handling equipment. You will design end-of-arm tooling (grippers, vacuum systems, custom fixtures), develop detailed assemblies, weldments, and part drawings. You will ensure compatibility with robot reach envelopes and gantry motion constraints and incorporate safety features (guarding, fencing, access points) into designs. Also, you will collaborate with project and senior engineers and controls teams on integration requirements. You will oversee equipment installation for clients.
This is a primarily on-site role with some travel involved to client sites.
Qualifications:
- 2-8 years of experience of mechanical design in automation or heavy equipment
- Proficient with SolidWorks
- High level of accuracy, organization, and documentation discipline
Bonus:
- Experience with robotic integration or gantry systems
- Bachelor's or Associate's in Mechanical Engineering
