Halifax/Hybrid – a mix of home working and time in our Halifax office.

🌟 Join Covéa Insurance — An Award-Winning Place to Work

At Covéa Insurance, we're here to protect what matters most — from homes and vehicles to businesses and livelihoods. What truly sets us apart is our people and culture.

We're proud to have been recognised as the Best Place to Work at the Modern Claims Awards 2026.

We have an exciting opportunity to join us at Covéa Insurance, where you'll be part of an inclusive and supportive organisation that puts people first, both our customers and our colleagues.

At Covéa, we know there's no one-size-fits-all way of working. We actively support flexible hours, part-time options and different working patterns, and we encourage open conversations about what works best for you and your life.

The Team

The Compliance team works in partnership across Covéa to promote good customer outcomes, effective governance and sound risk management.

As our specialist Financial Crime Compliance resource, you'll work closely with colleagues across Compliance, Risk, Financial Crime Operations and the wider business, providing expert advice, independent challenge and oversight across the Financial Crime Framework.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and influence how financial crime risk is managed across the business. You'll play a key role in ensuring our approach remains effective, proportionate and aligned to regulatory expectations, whilst building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.

What you can expect in this role

  • You'll act as the business's specialist second-line adviser on financial crime matters.

  • You'll lead and continuously improve Covéa's Financial Crime Framework, supporting policies, standards and guidance.

  • You'll deliver the Enterprise-Wide Financial Crime Risk Assessment and Product Risk Assessment processes.

  • You'll provide oversight and challenge across fraud, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption risks.

  • You'll support strategic business initiatives to ensure financial crime risks are identified and managed effectively.

  • You'll produce governance reporting and insights for senior management and Committees.

  • You'll monitor emerging regulatory developments and help shape appropriate business responses.

  • You'll collaborate with colleagues across Compliance, Risk, Financial Crime Operations and the wider business.

  • You'll contribute to ongoing enhancement of governance, oversight and financial crime controls.

What you might bring

  • Experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Compliance, Risk or Financial Crime Operations.

  • A strong understanding of financial crime frameworks and associated regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting information to senior stakeholders.

  • Confidence influencing, advising and constructively challenging stakeholders at all levels.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • A collaborative, pragmatic and relationship-focused approach.

  • ICA, ACAMS or similar professional qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential.

💡 Not sure you tick every box? That's okay.

We recognise that great candidates bring different experiences and perspectives. If this role interests you and you believe you could add value, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every requirement.
