As a Portfolio Management Director within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Portfolio Management Director to lead a portfolio of enterprise transformation initiatives spanning cloud modernization, data center strategy, migration programs, resiliency, security, and AI-enabled capabilities. This leader will be responsible for driving the organization's "path to production" framework, ensuring the successful delivery of complex technology and business transformation programs from strategy through implementation.
The ideal candidate brings a strong management background with deep expertise in financial and technology transformation, portfolio governance, risk management, and large-scale enterprise change initiatives. This role requires an executive leader who can balance innovation with disciplined governance while delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a portfolio of strategic initiatives focused on cloud transformation, national hosting, data center modernization, migration programs, and production readiness.
• Establish and execute portfolio roadmaps aligned with enterprise objectives, business priorities, and technology strategy.
• Drive the organization's end-to-end "path to production" methodology, ensuring efficient transition from strategy and design through deployment and operationalization.
• Partner with executive leadership to prioritize investments, optimize resource allocation, and maximize business value.
• Oversee initiatives that leverage curated enterprise data, Big Data platforms, and AI-driven capabilities to create business value.
• Support the development of scalable, secure, and responsible AI solutions.
• Drive adoption of data-driven decision-making practices across the organization.
• Ensure AI initiatives are supported by robust governance, transparency, and risk management frameworks.
• Establish strong portfolio governance practices, including executive reporting, controls, issue management, and performance measurement.
• Lead portfolio-level risk identification, mitigation, and escalation processes.
• Champion enterprise resiliency strategies across critical infrastructure, cloud, hosting, and operational environments.
• Ensure security, compliance, and regulatory requirements are embedded throughout all transformation initiatives.
• Develop governance frameworks addressing emerging AI risks, cybersecurity threats, and operational resilience requirements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders.
• Lead cross-functional teams across technology, operations, security, finance, and business functions.
• Drive alignment among stakeholders while managing competing priorities and organizational change.
• Present portfolio performance, risks, strategic recommendations, and investment decisions to executive leadership.
• Manage complex transformation portfolios with significant budgets and resource commitments.
• Develop business cases, financial models, and value realization frameworks.
• Monitor portfolio performance against strategic, operational, and financial objectives.
• Ensure initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
• Experience leading large-scale transformation programs, PMO functions, or enterprise portfolios.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing cloud, infrastructure, migration, data center, hosting, and technology modernization initiatives.
• Strong expertise in portfolio governance, risk management, and executive stakeholder engagement.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams within highly regulated and complex enterprise environments.
• Proven track record delivering strategic initiatives from concept through production deployment.
• Experience leading financial transformation and enterprise modernization programs.
• Background in AI governance, responsible AI, data strategy, and cybersecurity risk management.

Job Description
- Oversees portfolio managers and their assigned teams. Responsible for the success of the team in meeting objectives and timeframes. No requirement for portfolio size.
- Facilitates the development and approval process for strategic initiative governance for assigned portfolios.
- Oversees the development and review of analysis and reporting information related to key strategic portfolio milestones.
- Oversight and accountability for the overall portfolio budget while working to ensure success of the portfolio.
- Leads and develops portfolio managers. Works across multi-disciplinary functions and builds and oversees vender relationships to ensure success of the portfolio.

Base Salary: $146,300.00 – $326,040.00Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.Application Window
