Description
Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services in a fast-paced call center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding and Employee Records Administration
• Prepare onboarding materials and assist with the completion of employment documentation prior to and during employee orientation.
• Upload all onboarding documents to the HR shared drive and maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date electronic personnel files.
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of employment and promotion notices after verification and approval by the HR Generalist.
• Follow up with employees who have outstanding onboarding documents by sending the required forms through Breezy or providing physical copies for completion, ensuring all completed documents are uploaded to the employees' electronic personnel files.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date electronic employee personnelfiles.
Leave Administration & Employee Engagement
• Calculate vacation and sick leave entitlements for all employees, excluding managers, in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain accurate leave records and update leave tracking spreadsheets.
• Prepare the bi-monthly employee birthday listing and distribute the birthday recognition poster.
Offboarding
• Assist with the employee separation process including ensuring all required offboarding checklists are completed.
• Coordinate the collection and documentation of company property upon separation.
General Administrative Support
• Schedule HR meetings and disciplinary hearings.
• Prepare meeting agendas and record minutes for HR meetings, including disciplinary hearings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
• Minimum of five (5) CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
• At least one (1) year of administrative experience; experience within a call center or BPO environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
