Business Justification
Position Summary
The Director of Supply Chain Management leads end-to-end material readiness, supply planning, and capacity execution for cloud service providers. This role drives global fulfillment and inventory management for complex compute, storage, networking, and AI rack-level integration. In this role you will be both cross-functional and customer facing while managing a team of best-in-class Supply Chain Managers & Material Planning Managers, ensuring mfg Supply – Capacity – Utilization. A successful candidate will be goal oriented and highly focused on the development of system & processes, AI utilization, dashboard development, and achieving strategic KPI’s.
Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
- Rack-Scale Integration & Supply Planning: Lead global supply chain execution for complex operations. Manage Clear-to-Build (CTB) tracking and build schedules to prevent production bottlenecks.
- Cross-Functional Sourcing Collaboration: Partner closely with the Strategic Sourcing team to align component allocations. Provide demand visibility to ensure sourcing contracts support customer ramp schedules.
- NPI to MP Production Transition: Collaborate with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to ensure seamless handoffs. Lead material readiness and capacity ramping from prototype phases into high-volume Mass Production (MP).
- Fulfillment & Capacity Management: Drive production scheduling and capacity allocation across global manufacturing sites. Optimize buffer stock strategy to absorb sudden spikes in cloud customer demand.
- Risk & Continuity Management: Establish proactive mitigation programs to navigate component constraints, allocation risks, and supply chain volatility.
- Data-Driven Operations: Utilize forecasting models and analytics to optimize inventory velocity, minimize excess and obsolete (E&O) material, and report operational metrics.
- Dashboard Development & Reporting: Work closely with BizOps and IT cross functional teams to develop or enhance reporting & dashboards, utilizing AI and ensuring clear tracking of metrics while meeting KPI’s
Core Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of supply chain execution or planning leadership within the data center, OEM, or Hyperscale cloud infrastructure space.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of server hardware infrastructure, including compute, networking, and AI rack integration.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of directing Supply Chain Program Managers and collaborating across matrixed organizations.
Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180-220k.
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and business needs.
