## The group you’ll be a part of
You’ll join a high-performing Finance team supporting Lam Research’s Etch Product Group (EPG), a key business and technology enabling advanced semiconductor manufacturing. In this role, you will partner closely with the business and across the finance team to deliver financial analysis and insight that influences and drives profitability improvement. At Lam, you will be a trusted advisor to the business and influence sound business decisions based on your expertise in interpreting data, performing analysis, modeling, and understanding financial outlook. You’re in a high visibility role working with internal business partners at all levels and across functions, on challenging and rewarding projects that help shape Lam's financial strategies and decisions for the future.
In this role, you will work within EPG, partnering with the business to deliver analysis, insights, and recommendations that influence profitability improvement. You will establish yourself as a trusted advisor to both your business and finance stakeholders, and will apply innovation, a focus on achievement and accountability to drive execution to desired outcomes.
## What you’ll do
- Deliver annual long-range planning financial forecasts and analysis, using repeatable, flexible, and efficient models to support business requirements.
- Proactively initiate and drive deep-dive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for profitability improvement, focusing on cost reduction or revenue optimization. Effectively synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights. Crisply communicate key findings and recommendations to decision-makers.
- Play a central role in the delivery of the quarterly BU P&L, as well as other P&L variants delivered by the finance team. Serve as a central coordinator within EPG Finance for key quarterly financial deliverables.
- Deliver ad hoc P&L analysis to support the needs of the business or finance teams and engage flexibly when needed to support peak requirements across EPG Finance.
- Build and maintain advanced financial models, business cases, ROI analyses, scenario comparisons, and sensitivity analyses to evaluate options, make recommendations, and influence decisions.
- Leverage advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to identify trends, quantify risks and opportunities, improve forecast accuracy, and enable faster, more informed decisions.
- Cultivate trusted relationships, gain a deep understanding of the business, and act as an advisor providing practical guidance on growth opportunities and cost savings.
## Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a business-related field with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s degree or equivalent certification (MBA, CPA, CFA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) with 6+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, dashboards, and data visualization, with the ability to apply these tools to large data sets.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload; effective multi-tasking skills are vital.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment, drive continuous improvement, and navigate ambiguity.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams, including flexibility to accommodate global time zones.
## Preferred qualifications
- Foundational understanding of US GAAP.
- Prior experience within technology, manufacturing, or related industries.
- SAP and Business Objects experience, or demonstrated strong systems skills, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial planning software, ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of forecasting tools (Workday Adaptive).

Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
