The key focus of Corporate Affairs Manager is to support the Haleon leadership and strategic business priorities in Korea, and the North Asia Cluster business (Korea and Japan), ensuring long-term reputation building. This role has a specific focus on Korea and will be responsible to cover Corporate Affairs needs of couple other markets in the APAC Operating Unit.

The Corporate Affairs Manager will work in close collaboration with the Head of Corporate Affairs, APAC OU in Singapore and the Head of Corporate Affairs, North Asia Cluster in Japan, drive the public relations including commercial communications, issues and media management, external stakeholder communications and internal communications in close alignment with the OU and global CA strategic priorities. It requires careful and thoughtful management of the business’ reputation through management of all external stakeholder relations – from the government to industry body, key trade associations and healthcare professionals and the media in Korea.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

• Develop and execute integrated brand communications and leverage experts/KOL for key Haleon categories  
• Work closely with key stakeholders across the business – including the in-market, cluster leadership teams, and the OU and global Corporate Affairs teams – to help shape and communicate corporate PR strategy and build trust among customers, media, employees, healthcare professionals, government stakeholders and industry regulators.
• A comprehensive and integrated approach to managing issues related to brands, ingredients, legislative and regulatory matters and sustainability – that supports the Haleon’s business strategy, objectives and priorities and protects Haleon’s reputation in Korea.
• Identify key stakeholders who are critical allies and partners in shaping Haleon’s reputation across our key categories in Korea. Work with regulatory/medical affairs/ expert and legal teams and develop strong partnerships with external stakeholders that can help advance priorities and support business growth in Korea.  
• Collaborate with OU/Cluster and global teams to develop and deliver strategic media relations and communications plans that support Haleon’s business priorities and core brands to enhance and protect the reputation of Haleon.
• Develop and execute a consistent internal communications strategy that drives employee engagement amidst a fast-changing environment working closely with HR team. 
• Lead and take a hands-on approach when necessary to organize face-to-face communications with employees such as Town Hall initiatives, workshops and prepare presentations, speeches, and other content to maximize internal and employee engagement.
• Be a part of Korea leadership Team.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with the required skills to achieve our goals:

• 8-10 years’ professional experience in a Corporate/ Commercial PR role.
• Experience of internal and external communications strategy planning and delivery with a strong and demonstrable track record of success.
• Extensive knowledge, understanding of the Korea government and media landscapes and political/policy environment is required.
• Demonstrate experience in leadership, relationship management and partnership development.
• Demonstrated experience in media management, public relations, crisis and issues management.
• Strong communications skills are required – both written and verbal in Korean– as well as the ability to build trust amongst the varied relationships this role must build within and across functions and with senior management
• Strong capability in managing changing business environment and ambiguity. The individual in this role will need to have high adaptability and the ability to work flexibly across a number of priorities at the same time, whilst maintaining attention to detail to ensure quality is not compromised.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

• Exposure or experience working in matrix organization is an advantage, with the ability to manage relationships and navigate complexities across multiple businesses and cultures.
• Deep knowledge of the healthcare system and drug regulatory policies is required so that this role can be the member of the leadership team in Korea.
• Having strong overall business acumen, strong strategic thinking and execution will allow this individual to be a good partner and strong contributor to the General Manager,  Korea and the Leadership Team, while guarding and growing our brands and business.
• Excellent English language skills, apart from having native local language skills, are vital for success.
