Description
What You Can Expect:
- Unloading stock and placing into correct areas for put away.
- Checking goods in and goods out for accuracy as per manifest provided.
- Customer stock put away in line with approved procedures
- Reporting faults, damages, or errors to the supervisor.
- Completion of appropriate paperwork to compliance and quality standards
- Pick, pack, and preparation of goods for shipment as communicated by the warehouse supervisor in accordance with customer specifications.
- Loading stock from staging areas onto delivery vehicles, ensuring checking procedures are adhered to.
- Support regular cycle counts and assists Stock Controller with stock takes.
- Communicate issues with supervisor to ensure quality of shipments.
- Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure put away / pick accuracy.
- Supporting the health and safety of oneself and others through strict adherence to company policy.
- Licenced to safely operate Material Handling Equipment and other warehouse machinery.
- Immediate reporting of accidents, incidents, near misses or health and safety concerns, and cooperating with investigations into same.
- Maintaining communication with Customer Service & Transport departments to ensure smooth flow of information through the business.
- Once trained engage in the use of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accuracy of information.
- Understand warehouse layout and processes and communicate suggestions for improvement.
- Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to customer inquiries regarding orders, status complaints etc.
- Cooperate with investigations by the Quality Department to satisfy customer inquiries
- Support & be involved in any location & company initiatives.
