Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Architect to provide end-to-end technical architecture and governance across SAP cloud implementations, with a strong focus on SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI), SAP Cloud Identity Services – IAS and IPS, APIs, extensions, and enterprise integrations. The architect will work across multiple SAP projects and act as the technical authority overseeing the overall solution architecture, ensuring that SuccessFactors and other SAP solutions are integrated securely, efficiently, and in accordance with SAP recommended architecture and development standards. This is not purely an integration-development role. The individual is expected to understand the complete SAP cloud technical landscape and provide architectural direction to functional consultants, integration developers, BTP developers, infrastructure/security teams, and customer IT teams.

Responsibilities
1. Overall SAP Technical Architecture
- Define and govern end-to-end SAP technical architecture across SAP SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Integration Suite, and related applications.
- Ensure solution designs align with SAP best practices, security standards, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and architectural gaps, and provide resolution strategies.
2. SAP SuccessFactors Architecture
- Provide technical leadership for SAP SuccessFactors implementations and integrations.
- Advise on the use of standard SuccessFactors capabilities, APIs, extensions, and integration approaches.
- Review and validate technical and integration designs across SuccessFactors modules.
3. SAP BTP & Integration Architecture
- Design and govern solutions on SAP BTP, including Integration Suite, CPI, API Management, SAP Build, and Cloud Connector.
- Define integration architecture and standards for API-led, event-driven, and file-based integrations.
- Oversee integrations between SAP and third-party systems, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
4. Identity & Security Architecture
- Lead the design and governance of SAP IAS and IPS, including authentication, SSO, and user provisioning.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements, covering identity management, encryption, certificates, and access controls.
- Support integrations with corporate identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID.
5. Technical Governance & Quality Assurance
- Review and approve architecture documents, technical designs, interface specifications, and security models.
- Establish technical standards and governance frameworks across SAP projects.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with long-term business needs.
6. Troubleshooting & Production Support
- Lead the resolution of complex technical issues across applications, integrations, identity services, and cloud platforms.
- Support project teams through testing, deployment, go-live, and production stabilization.
- Establish monitoring, logging, and operational support best practices.
7. Technical Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to project teams and consultants.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional leads to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Support pre-sales activities, solution estimations, customer workshops, and architecture discussions.
Requirements
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end integration solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
- Architect secure, scalable, and high-performing integration solutions that align with business and technology requirements.
- Drive SAP SuccessFactors integration initiatives, including Employee Central, Payroll, and third-party applications.
- Design and implement identity and access management solutions using SAP IAS, IPS, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical architectures and integration designs.
- Review and validate solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, integrations, identity services, cloud platforms, and network environments.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation, technical specifications, and solution diagrams.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development and integration teams.
- Lead technical workshops and customer-facing discussions, acting as a trusted advisor on SAP integration and architecture.
- Support integrations involving SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, Concur, Analytics Cloud, SmartRecruiters, and other enterprise systems as required.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to architecture roadmaps, technical proposals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and data governance requirements.
