Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney (Estate Planning and Settlement)

A highly respected and collegial Connecticut law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates attorneys to join its growing practice in New Haven.

The firm will consider an early-career attorney with at least one year of estate planning and/or estate administration experience, as well as mid-level or senior-level associates.

The practice represents individuals, families, fiduciaries, business owners, and high-net-worth clients in a broad range of estate planning and estate and trust administration matters. Attorneys work closely with experienced partners and clients while receiving meaningful responsibility and strong support.

Representative Responsibilities

• Drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
• Administering estates and trusts, including probate proceedings and fiduciary accountings
• Advising clients regarding estate, gift, and income tax considerations
• Communicating directly with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries
• Collaborating with colleagues on complex planning and administration matters

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Law degree and at least one year of practice experience required
• Experience in estate planning and/or estate and trust administration
• Familiarity with Connecticut probate procedures and fiduciary matters
• Strong drafting, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Connecticut Bar admission or eligibility for admission upon hire
