Description
- Provide a high level of customer service in responding to or triaging employee and public requests for information pertaining to recruitments, employee services, benefits, and other basic questions.
- Support recruitment programs by preparing job postings, creating and maintaining recruitments in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), escorting candidates, scheduling physicals and drug screenings, initiating background check investigations, and more.
- Assist with coordinating training activities, marketing training opportunities, and responsible for administering the District's LinkedIn Learning licenses.
- Responsible for ensuring timely distribution of reports on information including probationary programs, position management, and compliance training from associated databases (HRIS, ATS, etc.).
- Process personnel actions and status changes accurately and in time.
Examples of Essential Duties:
- Coordinate biweekly new hire onboarding.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations, flyers, and other internal marketing materials for training programs.
- Support other employee programs such as wellness week, Transit Employee Appreciation Day, and the Summer Internship Program.
- Receive, review, process, and track invoices for payment, working with Accounts Payable and Contracts & Procurement as needed.
- Order, maintain, and inventory department equipment and supplies.
- Provide telephone support for the department and provide information, forms, and answers to employees and customers as needed. Distribute documents, mail and other materials to appropriate individuals for action or information.
- Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect oneself, fellow employees, and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in business, human resources, psychology, marketing or related field
- Two (2) years of full-time, progressive experience working as an HR Generalist with specific experience in recruitment, training, and HRIS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing customer service in a high volume environment
- Professional working knowledge of CA Commercial DMV driving requirements
- Experience working with a union workforce
- Professional working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM & Finance
- Experience working at a public agency
