Description
Job Description: The selected candidate will work as the Marketing and Communications Manager supporting Thompson Gray's Business Development organization and executive leadership team. Responsibilities include managing and overseeing brand, digital presence, corporate communications, events, and business development marketing for the company and its market teams. The Marketing and Communications Manager will support the Business Development, Capture, and Proposal teams in developing capability statements, past performance content, proposal graphics, and customer-facing collateral, ensuring compliance with TG brand standards, DoD public release and OPSEC requirements, and customer marketing restrictions, and achieving key milestones such as increasing TG's visibility with Army and DoD customers, strengthening the qualified pipeline, and supporting company recruiting goals.

Worksite details: Full-Time at TG headquarters in Huntsville, AL for candidates in the Huntsville area. Remote work will be considered for the right candidate outside the Huntsville area, with occasional travel to Huntsville. All candidates should expect occasional travel to industry trade shows and customer and community events (up to approximately 15%).
Duties will include:
• Developing and executing TG's annual marketing and communications plan in alignment with corporate growth strategy and market team priorities, including managing the marketing budget, vendors, and agency support
• Serving as steward of the TG brand by maintaining brand standards, templates, and guidelines and ensuring a consistent look and voice across the website, proposals, presentations, and recruiting materials
• Partnering with Business Development, Capture, and Proposal teams to produce capability statements, qualifications and past performance write-ups, case studies, proposal graphics and templates, and orals presentation materials
• Managing the company website and digital channels (LinkedIn and other social media), including content calendars, search optimization, analytics, and regular reporting on engagement, lead, and recruiting metrics
• Planning and executing TG's presence at industry events and trade shows (e.g., AUSA Annual Meeting, AUSA Global Force, SMD Symposium, and local AUSA/NDIA chapter events), including booth logistics, collateral, and post-event follow-up
• Leading corporate and employee communications, including contract award announcements, press releases, newsletters, and highlights of TG's community and charitable giving
• Supporting recruiting and employer branding efforts, including job posting standards, career page content, career fairs, and Best Places to Work and other award submissions
• Coordinating with leadership, contracts, and security staff to ensure all public-facing content complies with OPSEC, customer public-release approvals, and contractual restrictions on publicizing awards
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field; additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• 6+ years of progressive marketing and/or communications experience, with at least 3 years supporting a defense, aerospace, or federal government contracting (GovCon) organization
• Demonstrated experience supporting federal proposal efforts, including proposal graphics, capability statements, and past performance content
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), website content management systems (e.g., WordPress), LinkedIn and social media analytics, and email marketing platforms
• Experience planning trade shows and events and managing vendors and budgets
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate technical program content into clear messaging for Army and DoD audiences
• Ability to work independently on a small team, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively with executives, BD staff, and technical subject matter experts
• Eligibility to obtain a U.S. government security clearance preferred
• Familiarity with the Redstone Arsenal and Army program office community or AUSA/NDIA preferred
