## The impact you’ll make

As an Engineering Technician III, you will be a critical contributor to the development and introduction of next-generation semiconductor technology. Working in a fast-paced research and development environment, you will apply technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and improve products that often have limited documentation and evolving designs. Your work will directly influence product quality, manufacturing readiness, engineering learning, and development cycle time.

## What you’ll do

• Independently assemble, integrate, and test developmental semiconductor process modules and subsystems.
• Apply technical judgment to work through incomplete procedures, changing documentation, and evolving product designs and providing recommended solutions.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, software, and integration-related issues encountered during assembly and testing.
• Identify design, configuration, documentation, process, and workmanship issues impacting product performance or manufacturability.
• Collaborate with engineers to investigate issues and implement solutions.
• Participate in prototype builds, engineering evaluations, qualification activities, and manufacturing readiness efforts.
• Create and maintain Issue Logs, TOIs (Tool Open Issues), NCIs (Non Conformance Internal), and other required documentation.
• Suggest work instruction improvements through issue logs and partnerships with engineering.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
• Escalate issues requiring deeper technical expertise or broader organizational coordination when appropriate.

## Who we’re looking for

• 2-4 years of related work experience.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in utilizing computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work a shift schedule.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
