The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the maintenance team in supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our Sunnyside manufacturing facility and equipment. This role will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, drive equipment reliability and uptime, and partner closely with Production and Engineering to quickly resolve equipment and facility issues. The Maintenance Supervisor will also develop the maintenance team, coordinate projects and planned shutdowns, and identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, safety, and overall facility operations.

YOUR IMPACT

• Monitor condition of the facility and equipment and make recommendations for its proper upkeep
• Monitor quality of work being performed by Maintenance and Custodial personnel to insure work is being performed in a manner which will protect the Company's assets
• Determine most effective crew size and departmental organization to most efficiently carry out assigned work
• Work closely with all Production manager/supervisors in assessing the adequacy of maintenance support
• Develop appropriate preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and monitor conformance of personnel to these schedules Insure the health and safety of all personnel by diligent application of good health and safety rules and practices
• Assist in the planning of scheduled shutdown maintenance, special projects, and facility construction and renovation
• To procure, train, schedule, and supervise the Maintenance and Custodial personnel
• To work closely with Facilities Engineering in prioritizing and carrying out assigned projects and maintenance work
• Assist Production, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities Engineering in the development of capital equipment budgets
• Communicate status of critical production equipment and facilities utilities to Facilities Engineering and management
• Strive to maintain good departmental morale through group and individual communications, and fair and equitable handling of all personnel assignments, discipline and wage issues
• Assist in developing yearly departmental capital and expense account budgets
• Monitor SOP’s set-up by all departments for maximum equipment performance and review downtime records and work orders, thus focusing on problems and recommend corrective action needed
• Review departmental responsibilities vs. skill levels and suggest training requirements for employees
• Maintaining an awareness of new equipment, buildings, various systems, new polices, and management changes
• Ensure proper use of the Confined space and lockout/ tagout programs by maintenance and custodial personnel
• Maintain all the departments purchasing and parts ordering
• Provide an off hours contact / assistance for emergency repairs or issues
• Continually look for new energy saving ideas that can be implemented at our company

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree and 5-7 years experience

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including direct supervision of maintenance technicians or skilled trades.
• Strong experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs focused on improving equipment reliability and reducing unplanned downtime.
• Hands-on knowledge of industrial equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and facility utilities.
• Experience troubleshooting production equipment and partnering with Operations and Engineering to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Experience planning and coordinating plant shutdowns, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and other maintenance projects.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and industrial safety programs, including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures.
• Experience with CMMS or maintenance work order systems, including preventive maintenance scheduling, downtime tracking, parts inventory, and maintenance reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize maintenance activities in a fast-paced production environment while balancing safety, quality, equipment uptime, and production needs.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, spare parts, outside contractors, and capital improvement projects.
• Strong leadership and team development skills, including training, coaching, performance management, and development of skilled maintenance personnel.

• This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.
• The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.
• Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.

Pay Range:

$73,200.00 - $117,800.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
