A Career at HARMAN
As a technology leader that is rapidly on the move, HARMAN is filled with people who are focused on making life better. Innovation, inclusivity and teamwork are a part of our DNA. When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you’ll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do every day.
About the Role
The SBU Connectivity Product Management Lead is the portfolio-level owner for product management, product evolution, go-to-market orchestration, and lifecycle value realization across SBU Connectivity. The role consolidates the former product-specific Business Lead responsibilities into one Product Management organization while maintaining distinct product lines for telematics and connectivity offerings and clear interfaces with the Global Business Lead for overall commercial/business ownership.
You will translate market, customer, technology, and RFQ signals into a coherent portfolio roadmap, investment priorities, differentiated product propositions, and executable business cases. Drive a product-first operating model that increases reuse, reduces bespoke development, improves R&D return, and strengthens global market adoption through close partnership with NPI, Systems/Solution Architecture, Product Engineering, Global RFQ/Early Engagement, Global Delivery, Finance, Sales, and the Global Business Lead.
You will lead a globally distributed team of product managers and regional GTM product managers and influences a broad matrix spanning engineering, architecture, delivery, finance, sales, marketing, and customer teams. Success requires enterprise-level judgment across multiple product lines, regions, customers, investment horizons, and technology generations.
Manage the global Product Management organization spanning telematics/connectivity product lines and regional GTM product management in the Americas, Europe, Japan, India/APAC and other priority markets. You
will build a strong product management discipline with common methods for roadmaps, business cases, product requirements, lifecycle governance, GTM readiness and portfolio decision making.
What You Will Do
- Own Portfolio Product Management: Drive product evolution, 3–5-year roadmaps and lifecycle decisions across Connectivity, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and profitability.
- Lead GTM & Regional Product Management: Convert market and Voice-of-Customer signals into product priorities, positioning, value propositions, sales enablement and launch readiness.
- Partner for Growth: Work with Global Business Lead, Sales and RFQ/Early Engagement to shape opportunities around scalable products and derivatives rather than bespoke solutions.
- Own Product Business Cases & Value Realization: Establish product investment logic across market potential, pricing, revenue, margin, R&D, lifecycle cost, reuse and ROI in partnership with Finance.
- Manage Product Performance: Track adoption, pipeline fit, reuse, financial contribution, roadmap execution and customer feedback, taking corrective action when expected value is not realized.
- Connect NPI to Product Ownership: Partner with NPI to mature new concepts and technology opportunities into validated product propositions with disciplined transition into portfolio ownership.
- Drive Cross-Functional Product Realization: Partner with Architecture, Engineering and Global Delivery to translate market needs into scalable platforms, executable roadmaps and reusable production-ready releases.
- Establish Product Management Excellence: Standardize MRD/PRD, roadmap, business case, launch, lifecycle and decision frameworks while resolving cross-product priorities at portfolio level.
- Build Global Product Leadership: Develop a high-performing global Product Management and GTM organization with strong accountability, a customer-centric, data-driven, product-first culture.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field; advanced technical or business degree preferred.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in automotive, connectivity, technology or adjacent industries, including significant leadership responsibility across product management, business development, GTM and product commercialization.
- 10+ years leading senior, globally distributed teams and complex matrix organizations across multiple regions, customers and product lines.
- Demonstrated ownership of multi-product roadmaps, product lifecycle decisions, business cases, pricing/value propositions, investment prioritization and go-to-market execution.

- Proven ability to convert customer and market needs into differentiated, scalable product propositions while resisting unnecessary bespoke complexity.
- Executive communication and influencing skills with credibility across customers, senior leadership, engineering, sales, finance, partners and globally distributed teams.
