Description
An Electrician troubleshoots and repairs electrical controls. This position lays out and installs new electrical secondary service including panels, breakers, disconnects, and switches. An Electrician also provides detailed materials list, gets cost estimates, and orders materials required for projects. This role is responsible for logging of HVAC equipment, troubleshooting, and repairing some HVAC systems as well as performing other duties that may include moving furniture, repairing or replacing door locks, and unclogging of sinks, toilets, and drains by use of hand or power equipment.High School Diploma or GED required. Technical school diploma supplemented by at least five years of experience in general construction trade(s) and/or building maintenance; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
NC State Electrician's License required, or obtained within 24 months of employment.Tasks involve the regular and sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which involves the lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavy items (up to 100 pounds).
