Hilco Diligence Services provides financial due diligence services, including transaction services and field examinations, for traditional and complex transactions across a wide range of industries. Our work includes borrowing-base development, accounts receivable and inventory performance metrics, and comprehensive collateral analysis for asset-based lending, specialty finance, retail lending, and other transactions. Lenders, advisors, and investors—including commercial banks, private credit lenders, investment banks, debt advisors, private equity firms, and hedge funds—use our reports to help structure and monitor loans and other investments. Position Overview:

This professional will perform financial due diligence, field examinations, and specified procedures for companies that have, or are seeking, asset-based financing and for targets of proposed M&A transactions. Responsibilities include conducting management interviews; analyzing accounts receivable, inventory, trade payables, and other relevant financial and operational information; evaluating receivables and inventory controls; and inspecting inventory and facilities across retail, wholesale, and manufacturing businesses. This role offers exposure to a broad range of industries, transaction structures, and senior client stakeholders. The successful candidate will work with experienced professionals, develop both technical and client-facing skills, and take on increasing responsibility based on experience and performance.

Managing Director Level Requirements

Managing Directors should be well known to ABL bank and private credit clients, have a strong reputation with them and a book of business with both bank and private credit clients or other clients.  The candidate should have several years leading their business, including hiring, training and coaching their team members, as well as having compensation responsibilities for their team. This includes responding to RFQs/proposals, scheduling, successful client engagement management and execution, Having direct P&L responsibility a plus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; an accounting degree or CPA credential is preferred
• Ten plus years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, audit, transaction advisory, commercial lending, or a related field; title and level will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint; experience with other data-analysis tools is preferred
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated integrity, sound ethical judgment, and a commitment to doing the right thing
• Ability to think quickly, exercise sound judgment, and respond effectively to unexpected issues
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and meet demanding deadlines
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across project teams, functions, and levels of seniority
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in manufacturing, retail, transaction services, commercial lending, public accounting, or a related industry is preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily within North America, with periodic international travel

• Ability to move comfortably between strategic, big-picture problem solving and detailed analysis
• Ability to identify and analyze critical details while maintaining a clear understanding of the broader transaction and client objectives
• Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities without compromising the quality of the work product
• Ability to interact professionally with senior management at client companies and gather sensitive, confidential, and judgment-based information with discretion
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and professionally in written reports and discussions with clients, lenders, other advisors, and Hilco colleagues
• Ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency, consistency, and quality in our work
• Ability to coach, mentor, and support the development of less experienced staff
• Ability to manage difficult or sensitive client situations successfully, exercising sound judgment and a high degree of professionalism

Annual base salary gross: $XXX,XXX-XXX,XXX. The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of Hilco’s salary for this position based on geography. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of Hilco’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include cash bonuses, long term incentives, health insurance, accident and life insurance, and retirement benefits.
