Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Business Process & Operations Analyst to lead business process improvements, support technology initiatives, and drive operational excellence across the organization. This role serves as a critical liaison between business partners, operations teams, and technology organizations to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and improve workflow efficiency, service quality, and customer experience.
The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of business analysis, process management, project delivery, testing, and stakeholder engagement skills. They will play a key role in assessing current-state operations, developing future-state solutions, and ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze existing business processes, workflows, and operating procedures to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
Perform root cause analysis to identify process bottlenecks, operational risks, redundancies, and control gaps.
Develop and document current-state and future-state process flows, business requirements, and operational procedures.
Recommend and implement process enhancements that improve performance, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.
Measure and monitor process performance using established metrics and reporting tools.
Conduct business assessments and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across multiple business lines.
Evaluate technology and operational solutions to address business challenges and support strategic objectives.
Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendations for new systems, enhancements, and process improvements.
Partner with business leaders and technology teams to define functional requirements and operational impacts.
Support enterprise initiatives from project initiation through implementation and post-production stabilization.
Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholder groups to ensure successful project execution.
Assess operational readiness, implementation risks, and resource impacts associated with new initiatives.
Lead or participate in project meetings, working sessions, testing events, and implementation planning activities.
Track project milestones, action items, risks, and dependencies.
Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between business units, operations teams, and technology partners.
Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leaders and stakeholders.
Create communications, training materials, and documentation to support process and system changes.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working sessions to align stakeholders and drive decisions.
Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
Support process controls, audit activities, and operational governance initiatives.
Identify potential implementation risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically six or more years of related experience
6+ years of experience in business analysis, operations management, process improvement, project management, or related disciplines.
Experience analyzing and improving business processes and operational workflows.
Experience supporting system implementations, technology initiatives, or large-scale operational projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
Experience with business process modeling and workflow analysis.
Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and processes.
Experience with project management methodologies and software development lifecycle practices.
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
Exposure to quality assurance, testing methodologies, and user acceptance testing.
Knowledge of operational risk, controls, audit practices, and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or Continuous Improvement.
Experience working in financial services, banking, payments, treasury management, or operations environments.
Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S Bank Location five (5) days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $86,360.00 - $101,600.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
