Overview
This role is the Data Steward lead for one of the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) programs, responsible for ensuring trusted, high-quality, and well-governed data across the RGM ecosystem. The role drives the execution and implementation of key data governance activities, including data assessments, data quality & remediation, data cataloging, while partnering closely with technical teams and key stakeholders.
As the primary steward for their assigned program, this role ensures adherence to PepsiCo's Enterprise Data Governance framework, including governance processes, policies, standards, and controls. It requires a deep understanding of business processes, data requirements, and how data is created, managed, and consumed across the enterprise.
This position reports to the Data Arch & Governance Sr Principal within D&Ai team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding and ongoing sustain of all in-scope markets and datasets supporting the RGM program.
- Perform data assessments and profiling activities to assess data fitness, completeness, consistency, and overall quality.
- Design, implement, and monitor data quality rules, metrics, and controls to ensure ongoing data integrity.
- Perform root cause analysis of data quality issues, define remediation plans, and lead/ oversee resolution activities in collaboration with source system owners.
- Lead Data Requirements Definition (DRD) discussions with Digital Product Managers (DPMs) and develop Data Assessment Templates (DATs) for all relevant data sources.
- Catalog Bronze, Silver, and Gold data assets in CDGC in accordance with established enterprise metadata standards and cataloging protocols.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management within a global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization or a similar industry.
- Strong expertise in enterprise data governance, including data quality, metadata management, data stewardship, and the effective use and management of enterprise data.
- Experience working with syndicated market data sources such as Nielsen, Kantar, and Circana, with a solid understanding of their business applications.
- Experience with internal data sources, such as financials, sales data, promotions data.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Databricks, and Informatica tools including CDGC, CDQ and Reference360.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions while partnering effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team while driving accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, navigate ambiguity, and drive consensus across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
