Location
Overview
Greet and escort guests to restaurant tables in accordance with established guest service standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and warmly welcome guests at the door.
- Escort guests to the dining room, and introduce them to their server.
- Answer the telephone, book reservations, and move tables together to accommodate large parties.
- Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
- Estimate wait times for guests, and monitor the guest waiting list.
- Ensure all guest needs are met to the required standard.
- Correctly account for all payments taken.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader.
Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a positive, attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during the entire shift.
