General Notes
The Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology is a leading research program at the University. Our focus is on neurological and developmental disorders, addiction, and cancer.
Purpose
Work closely with Faculty and Admin Staff in the Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology to assist with day to day office functions, event planning, and other duties as assigned. Offices located in both PHR and BME.
Responsibilities
- Assist with faculty requests and three admin staff members
- Assist with catering requests: set-up and tear down of the event.
- Mail distribution: Pick-up and distribution of mail
- Regular inventory check of office supplies and restocking of the supplies
- Move between buildings to assist two offices
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive
- Be reliable and organized
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating flyers and other promotional materials using Canva or other software
Salary Range
$13 - $14/hour, depending on classification
Working Conditions
Move between two office suites (PHR and BME)
May work around standard office conditions
Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
Use of manual dexterity
Climbing of stairs
Lifting and moving
Work Shift
Work within the hours of M-F 8am-5pm.
