ASAHI BEER USA | OCTOPI BREWING
SUPPLY PLANNER
You Make Sure the Right Product Is Always in the Right Place
Full-Time
ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING
Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. Our Supply Planning team keeps product flowing accurately from our brewery to warehouses and customers nationwide — balancing service, inventory, and cost every step of the way.
THE OPPORTUNITY
As Octopi and Asahi Super Dry continue to grow across the U.S., we need a Supply Planner who can turn demand forecasts into an accurate, feasible supply plan — keeping the right products, in the right quantities, in the right place, at the right time.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT
• Real ownership over the published supply plan — not just data entry, but real decision-making and problem-solving
• Cross-functional exposure across Demand Planning, Brewery Operations, Logistics, and Finance
• A role built on constructive challenge — your voice matters in balancing service, inventory, and cost trade-offs
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Build and maintain an accurate, time-phased supply plan across all SKUs and locations
• Translate demand forecasts into clear production and replenishment requirements for our brewery and co-packers
• Own inventory replenishment and deployment across all 3PL warehouse locations
• Monitor inventory health — days of supply, safety stock, aging, and excess — and take action to prevent shortages or write-offs
• Partner with, and constructively challenge, Demand Planning using forecast history, orders, and market intelligence
• Participate in S&OP/IBP routines, presenting supply capability, risks, and recommendations
WHAT YOU BRING
Must-haves:
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory planning, or deployment
• Strong ERP/MRP and warehouse management systems experience; SAP and Wave experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, advanced lookups, scenario modeling)
• Highly analytical, numerate, and comfortable working with complex, imperfect data
Nice-to-haves:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, Finance, Math, Statistics, or a related field
• APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or an equivalent planning certification
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food and beverage, or brewing
• Power BI, Lean, or Six Sigma training
BENEFITS & PERKS
• Medical, dental, and vision coverage — effective the 1st of the month after 30 days
• Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance
• 401(k) with company match — 100% up to 3%, 50% on the next 2%
• 120 hours of PTO annually, with accrual that grows the longer you're here
• 9 paid holidays (if they fall on your scheduled workday)
• A free beer after shift, because you earned it
