Assistant Manager, Communications & Content
Key Responsibilities
- Content & Editorial: Write for customers, stakeholders, corporate audiences and Team EcoWorld, in every format we publish in. You proofread everything before it publishes, and hold the line on tone, house style and accuracy.
- Channels & Content Calendar: Work with the teams who run each channel to get content published on time. Manage one calendar across all of them, set a publishing schedule that holds, and spot clashes before readers do.
- Sustainability Communications: Work with teams across the business on our sustainability initiatives and the story we tell about it, turning commitments and progress into content people will read and watch.
- Media & Events Support: Draft and distribute press releases, maintain the media list, and coordinate content coverage of corporate, community and stakeholder events so something publishable comes out of each one.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Multimedia, Digital Media or related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Chinese is an added advantage).
Experience
- At least 6 years in communications, content or digital marketing
- You've written press releases, speeches and other content before.
- Able to edit and proofread other people's work. Please include two or three writing samples, ideally something you improved as well as something you wrote.
- Comfortable using AI as you write, with hands-on video and photography a plus.
- You know how the media works and how to stay on brand.
