Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE 

      Janitorial duties encompass cleaning , sanitizing, waste management and minor maintenance to ensure a safe, orderly and functional operation.

Demonstrates our “True North” attributes: voice of the customer, respect for the individual, no nonsense communication and utilization of facts, servant leadership and has a continuous improvement mindset in every facet of leadership and daily interaction. Leads, collaborates and demonstrates the lean principles and utilizes the lean methodologies and tools to facilitate continuous process improvements and value creation for our customers, employees and shareholders. Actively utilizes lean tools (VSM, Kaizen, A3, etc.) to inform and assess business opportunities to drive continuous improvement. Lead and participate in Kaizen and value stream mapping activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain cleanliness, appearance and upkeep of the facility to include offices, restrooms, dock, production/drivers and break rooms. Stock supplies and keep track of inventory (gloves, toilet paper, paper towels,etc.) Trash and waste management Minor repairs within the facility. Assist in delivery of ice merchandisers. Exterior maintenance (sweep, trim bushes/branches, clear outdoor waste bins) Report any comments or complaints from customers. Complete all necessary paperwork in a neat, accurate, and timely manner. Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management. Adhering to the Code of Business Ethics is essential. CONTACTS

Internal: Works closely with management, supervisory and location staff to understand the facility needs.

External: May interact with outside vendors and/or customers in completing some tasks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma preferred.  
• Customer service.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift and push up to 40 pounds
